It really works! I'm doing the exercise without looking at the guitar. I now have an exact spot I can feel on each finger where it sounds best. I also had a weak pluck on the ring finger and this method cured it! While not looking at the guitar I'm also using this exercise to find the EAD strings with my thumb without looking.
