A few weeks ago, I published a lesson on how you can play in all 12 key centers using only three fret positions.
I received several requests to walk through the same concept with the natural minor scale guitar shapes, so here it is!
Of course, getting this stuff down can take a while, but watch the whole video if you can so you get the gist of how to work on this, then you can slowly practice it over time.
As usual, I have visual diagrams baked into the video to help you follow along.
I also demonstrate improvising through the final exercise with a backing track at the end of the lesson—that's when it all comes together.
Everything in tonal music comes from scales, so exercises like this are invaluable for all of us if we want to navigate the fretboard more freely.
Let me know what you think in the comments.
Thanks for watching. :)
