If you're looking for an online resource for advancing your guitar playing and musicianship skills then you've come to the right place!
My name is Jared Borkowski and I've been teaching since 2003. Throughout this time I've been refining an approach for learning the guitar that I've seen induce rapid progress for students of all ages leading to incredible results.
I've played and composed professionally in a wide variety of settings including with artists such as Stewart Copeland of The Police, Macklemore, and Ben Smith of Heart.
I spent years deeply studying classical guitar, jazz improvisation, and composition with amazing teachers to get a firm grasp on how music works on the guitar and I'm excited to share that knowledge with you!
Sadly, I had to turn new private students away for many years because of my teaching schedule being completely full. It was disappointing not being able to help everyone who came to me looking for lessons so I decided to take my teaching online where I can share it with more people (like you!).
I publish a free video lesson every week and I do my very best to make each one as valuable as I can for my students. Sign up with the form below and I’ll send you an email when my weekly lessons comes out each Tuesday.
Thanks for stopping by and I hope your next practice session feels inspiring and fulfilling :)
P.S. Don't forget to grab any of my FREE guitar training guides! They're really awesome.

"As someone who has played guitar for over ten years and taken lessons from several other accomplished guitar teachers, I can safely say that Jared is the best guitar teacher I’ve taken lessons from."
— Hamilton (student)
Jared’s range of music education and experience, as well as his thoughtful and adaptable teaching style is truly a gift to find in one person. . . Music is emotional, not just technical, and I think Jared really understands that and teaches in a way that celebrates that connectivity.
— Jessie (student)
Jared’s approach to teaching theory is very accessible and is easily the most practical thing I’ve ever learned as a guitar player.
