This is the first lesson in a new series called "Chord Melody Made Simple."

I've been wanting to create this chord melody series for a while.

One of the things that I specialize in is chord melody (playing the chords and melody at the same time).

I have a method for it that I've been teaching for years.

What I haven't done is teach my exact chord melody method in the open position on the guitar...

Until now!

Playing in the open position is one of the most accessible ways to approach anything on the guitar—including chord melody.

For this series, I'm doing things a little differently than I usually do:

Each lesson will be focused on ONE specific, bite-sized step of the process, with explicit practice items clearly defined—kind of like a course, but on YouTube.

That way, you can follow along and get the results each week as you go.

The first step is so simple (and a very short lesson), but if you don't have it truly down then you'll never master the full chord melody process.

I hope you'll follow along and join me in this series!

Leave a comment on YouTube if you're on board.

Thanks!

Your guitar coach and practice buddy,
~ Jared
