I used to play with three notes per string scales exclusively, but they turned out to be bad for my hand and arm.
Because of that, I don't usually recommend them.
However, knowing how the seven 3NPS scales are laid out on the guitar is still extremely beneficial.
There are seven 3NPS scale shapes, and they are all built from the same repeating pattern!
Seeing this clearly helps unlock the logic of the fretboard.
