Two weeks ago, I published a lesson on the classic jazz tune "What is This Thing Called Love" as part of my "Top 25 Jazz Standards" series.
I promised to do another lesson walking through how to arrange it as a chord melody from a lead sheet, so here it is.
For students in my "Chord Melody Magic" course, this is a great "quick start guide" on the process.
For students not in that course, this video stands alone, but it's also a great peek into the "Chord Melody Magic" method—it works for any tune!
Let me know in the comments what you prefer when I do chord melody arrangements like this: Do you prefer chord shapes above the notation of an arrangement (like I did in this video), or tabs below the notation (like I've done previously)?
Thanks for you watching!
Cheers,
Jared
