I do not use the CAGED system for guitar.

I never have.

I know the CAGED system is very popular.

I know it claims to unlock the fretboard for you.

But I think the CAGED system is flawed—and it can actually do the opposite by getting you stuck in a rigid way of thinking on the guitar.
