๐Ÿ’ฌ Lesson Description

This week’s lesson is about solo guitar, which is where we're playing multiple parts at once – melody, bass, and sometimes chords too.

We're going to talk about something that's going to help a lot with getting the full sound of solo guitar, which is thumb independence.

When we're playing more than one thing at once, can our thumb stay steady and independent from what we're playing on top, whether it's melody or chords?

Can we keep track of what we're playing physically, mentally, and aurally?

In this lesson I’m going to show you five thumb independence guitar exercises that are going to help with this fingerpicking skill.

I think they're really fun and very challenging.

You can pick and choose from the exercises as you're working towards playing solo guitar, classical, fingerstyle, fingerpicking, or whatever your goals are.

I hope you enjoyed this lesson about improving your fingerpicking with these thumb independence guitar exercises. Let me know what you thought in the comments.

Thanks! :)
