💬 Lesson Description

In this video, I explain how to write a song on guitar by writing lead guitar and vocal melodies for chord progressions.

My last video was about writing the song structure and chord progressions for this song, but this video also stands on its own if you just want to focus on melody writing.

In the lesson, I review the chords for each song section, then talk about different ways to come up with melodies.

As usual, I explain the principles behind each approach, so you can get faster at writing melodies you like.

At the end of the video, I sing the melodies with lyrics to demonstrate how the composition can sound as a complete song.

I hope you enjoy this lesson about writing melodies for a full-length song.

Let me know what you thought in the comments.

Thanks! :)

- Jared
